Nordic-Baltic Youth Digital Resilience Initiative
“The Nordic–Baltic Youth Digital Resilience Initiative” was initiated in response to growing regional challenges: youth exposure to disinformation, low digital literacy, unequal access to technology education, and the need for greater resilience in the face of rapidly evolving digital risks.
Project is funded in the Prosperous Future 4th Round of the Application Programme for Civil Society Cooperation in the Region, it begins at 01.06.2026 and ends at 30.09.2027
Objectives
The overall objective of the project is to enhance digital resilience among youth in the Nordic-Baltic region by creating a common educational framework that focuses on critical thinking, creativity, and responsible navigation of the digital world. Through the development of educational modules, practical youth-driven initiatives, and international hackathons, the project aims to equip young people with the skills to create real-world applicable solutions to contemporary challenges.
The project will also provide capacity-building activities for educators and youth workers, ensuring the sustainability of the results beyond its completion. Furthermore, it will ensure the methodological continuity and the integration of project outcomes into broader educational practices. The project will also focus on ensuring its visibility and the use of its results at the policy level, aiming for long-term impact in shaping digital resilience and creative competencies among youth.
Results
The project partners will develop four comprehensive educational modules aimed at enhancing digital resilience, critical thinking, and creativity among youth. These modules will include theoretical content, practical exercises, and creative tasks, and will be tested with youth groups in Lithuania, Estonia, and Finland. Open-source documentation will be made available to all.
Additionally, a Nordic-Baltic Youth Digital Resilience Hackathon will be organized to encourage collaboration and problem-solving, where youth can create and present digital solutions. The hackathon will be complemented by a study visit involving participants from Estonia and Finland. To ensure the sustainability of the project’s impact, training will be provided to educators and youth workers, focusing on integrating digital resilience and creative problem-solving into their work.
The project will also increase visibility through youth-led digital awareness campaigns, policy recommendations, and communication materials, advocating for the integration of digital literacy and creative education into broader educational frameworks.
